two more notes of interest-
I'm not too sure if diesel cluster is plug and play into a former gasser car -
Was your car a gasser from der faktry ?
When it cools down some here in a few more days - i can test whatever wire/lead/terminal you want to know about on my 85 TDGL with der faktry tach.

So I rigged an incandescent test light with an LED. There is a white plug where the exciter wire and W wire from the alternator connect to the main harness. Clipped test light to the negative battery post and touched the blue wire with engine running. Lights On!! Touched the red and black wire.....no light. Touched it to the w terminal at the alternator... Lights on!! So.....obviously there was a short in the red and black wire somewhere. Took it all out, checked for corrosion, cuts, etc. sanded all corrosion from terminals and connections. Reassembled. Works like a dream. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I know better.:screwy:
Joggle Woggle? is this the inverse of Wiggle Waggle? Or a derivative.
