Long story short, I had to replace everything on my jetta after getting it home. Multiple breaches and deleted the water seperator.
I went with cheaper polyethelene as my hard lines in the stock clips. Then I installed a barb fitting and junctioned in the rear to the gas tank sender with some nice clear brown thick walled fuel safe hose from mccaster carr. This stuff is expensive but I also used it to junction the rails in the engine bay to the fuel filter, filter to pump, pump to return line and the return lines. Not that much footage needed.
I like it very much, almost pushing a year. It is thicker walled than all that other thinner stuff you can find at the local hardware store or ebay. Also through all the work and tweaking I have done, every time I have been able to pry it off the barbs with a screwdriver then put it all back together without cutting that section off! That is after allot of heat cycles! I left extra in each area just in case though.
I love being able to check for bubbles, etc.!
