I'm in process of adding an oil to air cooler on my Vanagon with transplanted AAZ. It will be one with a built in fan. Where is the best place to locate it. Also should I retain the oil /coolant regulator? I came across this quote from Libbybappa:
" I kept my stock oil to water cooler but I rerouted the coolant hoses so that it only receives flow prior to the coolant thermostat opening. Once the coolant thermostat opens the flow through the stock heat exchanger stops. That way I get the benefit of the faster warm up that the stock exchanger provides, coupled with the more adequate cooling of the aux oil to air cooler
Can anyone tell me how exactly to route my hoses so that I can do what he states above. Thanks, Paolo
