The time has come to put my Jetta diesel on the market, if you read through my parts list on this vehicle you guys know what was put into in and the car this care was given. In my opinion there are not too many older Jetta diesels set up the way I have tried to build this one. Please have a look if you are interested.
1991 VW Jetta 1.6 Turbo Diesel, 112000 Original Miles, Great Condition, 5spd, very well taken care of, rebuilt trans with Peloquin limited-Slip, originally was ECO-diesel but has been converted to a trueTurbo Diesel injection pump, many new parts and add-ons include the following:
-Injection Pump built by Performance Diesel Injection, only few hundred miles on new pump, converted to true turbo diesel injection pump with boost enrichment.
-Rebuild Injectors by Performance Diesel Injection, only few hundred miles on injectors
-New Timing Belt and tensioning pulley at 105,000 miles
-New Set of (4) 16 Inch 18 Spoke wheels, with 205/45R/16 Tires, only approx. 7,000 miles on tires
-New Set of (4) 15 Inch 7 Spoke Wheels, with 195/40R15 Snow Ties, approx. 100 miles on tires
-Techtonics 2.25 Stainless exhaust, including Techtonics 2.25inch downpipe from Turbo
-Techtonics Short throw shifter
-Completely rebuild front end at 105,000 mile to include the following
- All new bushings
-New wheel bearings
-New Tie Rod ends
-Complete front brake upgrade from Bahn Brenner, MK4 Spindles, Calipers, 288mm Rotors
-Completely Rebuilt rear brakes at 105000 miles including new drums, shoes, wheel cylinders
-New Rear Wheel Bearing
-New Stock Front Struts at 105,000 miles
-New Stock Rear Shocks at 105,000 miles
- H&R Front Sport Lowering Springs
-Completely Rebuilding Transmission at approximately 110,000miles including the following:
- Replaced original 4.25 ECO-diesel final drive gears with 3.94 final drive gears
- Peloquin Limited Slip differential
- All new Clutch assembly
- Rare Votex Console installed with EGT, Boost, Water Temp gauges
-New Radio Installed in Votex Console
-Original Radio location filled in with dash din space panel
-New Battery
-Single Round headlight conversion
-Tinted Side Markers
-Clear Front turn signals
Known issues:
-Small rust spot above fuel fill door
-Small rust line on lower part of driver side door
-Was getting 35mpg at one point, found driver side spindle nut slightly loose, causing wheel bearing to be loose, suspect wheel bearing was under a slight load causing slight drag and lower mileage, nut was re-tightened and adjusted, have not done a mileage test since repair
-Original radio Antenna has broken off
-Dash has common crack in center from age
This car has been very well taken care of, it started as a project a few years ago with my idea to create a nice clean great running car, the only reason for me selling it because I don’t drive the vehicle that much anymore and sits most of the time. From the parts list above I estimate I have between $7,000-8,000 into the vehicle.
I am asking $4100 with only 16 Inch Summer Tires/Rims, or $4500 with summer and snow tires/rims.
