Can't find valve stem seals
« on: June 09, 2011, 03:48:45 pm »
The set my regular parts go-to place sent me are too small. They appear to be for 7mm valve stems because there is no way the protector caps will fit onto a valve stem. Also, they don't seat onto the guide without getting mashed. They even look smaller when compared to the old ones. Of course, the old ones were damaged on removal. The problem is all the part number in the online places are the same  >:(. So I am totally expecting them to send be another pack of the 7mm seals. Why does this always happen when you are just about to get the car back together and running?

FEL-PRO Part # SS72567

CORTECO Part # 10017

BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0221482

From rockauto.com
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
