ARP rod bolts from a 289/302 Ford?

I read this over on the vortex:

They are saying the 302/289 ARP rod bolts can be used for their 16Vs.

Quote
They will fit the 144mm and 159mm rods, but you have to grind a tiny bit off of the heads of the bolts for them to seat right. Don't use the prowave bolts(the ones you have the part number for), use the standard 289/302 arp bolts, part# 154-6002.

Do our engines use either the 144mm or 159mm rods?
Will these work for any of our diesel engines?

The rods in the 1.6's are 136mm....not quite the same as the gas rods though. Those rod  bolts they are using on the 144's are kind of scary in my opinion. They have a D shaped head instead of being round. To me it's worth the extra money for the peice of mind.
