"Rebuilt" 1.6L NA Injection pump

For sale is a "rebuilt" 1.6L NA IP. I have it quoted as that is what I was told. Has been sitting like this for approximately 2 years:





That is a guess as the guy who I got my 85 Golf from had it for 2 years and the guy he got it from "bought it for a rebuild then sold me the car". So your guess is as good as mine.

BUT!!! I have looked at the labels hard and found out it was shipped from here:

So here is the pump pics. It seems to have machine oil on it. I cleaned it up a bit.

I'm interested but can't quite part with the cash at the moment.

I will say that the rebuilt TD pump I bought from Parts Place is the one and only item that I'm pleased with from those guys (because they farm out the work to someone else). Odd though... mine is painted in a nice tan epoxy - I wonder why this one is not?

Anyway... I wish I had the dough; my Caddy could use a new pump.

One question, actually - Can you confirm that this hasn't been run? I'd expect to see protective caps over the delivery valves on a rebuild at the very least. Are you certain this isn't the core pump that just wasn't returned to the rebuilder?

Sorry man, all the info I have are from the previous owner, who has not been forth right with me since I got the MK2. Hence the cheap price and the "" around rebuilt.
