I am so sick of changing the diaphragm on my current pump I decided to go for the newer style. I've probably spent 80 bucks buying replacement diaphragms in the last 5 years trying to "save money" by not upgrading.
So, let me know what you have and what you want for it. Thanks

you got a diaphragm pump tho, so its kinda expected.. mine is a vane pump.. they are supposed to be trouble free..

Now I'm remembering that there's a difference in length between the old and new style.
Do I have to measure mine?

length of what? as long as your vacuum pump doesnt have a coiled up oil supply line, it should be a direct swap from your diaphragm pump..
only pump i know for sure wont work, is an AAZ pump..
or are you talking about the drive for the oil pump?
they come in 2 styles.. flat against the bottom of the gear, and recessed ~3/8" up into the gear.. the vane pump only comes one way, so hope its the same as what you have, other wise you will need a new oil pump with the correct length shaft..

I just compared my diaphragm pump and vane and they're the same.
The oil pump drive is recessed 3/4 up inside the gear on both.

then your good to go, i think only the early engines got the short oil pump shaft..

I made the last two diaphragms out of 1/8" rubber and the first one lasted a couple months and the second is dying after only a week or two. I got sick of buying new $12 diaphragms.
Good to know about the old pumps.

i had to swap out the vacuum pump and oil pump at the same time when i boosted my 1.5
good thing i noticed the shafts were different lengths, because the new vac pump would not have turned the old oil pump.
