Nice oil filler cap ?
« on: April 21, 2011, 02:33:02 pm »
I presently have this polished-up stock metal cap on my AAZ. Does anyone make a nice aftermarket cap for these engines ?

Not that I have seen but I know the Mercedes caps work. Probably most oil caps will as the hole looks standard. I hope this may help, but i have't any idea on aftermarket stuff for these things.

Yours is the best I have ever seen. How much cooler can an oil cap get?

yup, early 60s beetle.. gotta be from one with a tank under the hood (trunk) none of the cars with fuel doors will have that gas cap. and it has the wrong style clips to hold it down to a valve cover. i suppose if you hacked the filler neck off a bug gas tank and welded it on the valve cover, you would be set.
