Dear Moderators............................If this will become a bearpit of lawyers, then please delete.
However, if you copy and paste the quoted link into Google Translate, select russian as the original language, you will find an absolute goldmine of stuff for the VE pump, torque settings, weird shimming information etc.
If you use something like "cutePDF" you can capture plenty of esoteric diesel stuff to keep you busy. The google translate does pretty well at making technical russian understandable. Happy Days.
http://dizelinfo.narod.ru/vr2.html(don't panic, the first page is for the Lucas DPC pump, which is even worse than the VE pump to get your head around. But once you copy and paste into google translate, you should see the goodies listed in english.)
OOPS! better link for the google translate would be...................................
http://dizelinfo.narod.ru/vr.htmlApologies for all those sent up the Lucas path.
Whoa....... badass!
Thanks!

That is a lot of info to digest.
I'll be sure not to overlook this step ever again
1.Smazhte oil hinge support for Vodka (32) and paste it together with a gasket
1.Smazhte nefti sharnir podderzhku Vodka (32) i vstavʹte yego vmeste s prokladkoĭ
well, here it is in phonetic russian, if it helps.
1. Смажьте маслом шарнир поддержку Водка (32) и вставьте его вместе с прокладкой
Cyrillic? Clueless me!
It amazes me how much that online translators can cope with these days. Though you would be brave to build a helicopter with it.
i know russian very well so if you have questions about that manual feel free to ask me
I can't find anything about our pumps there, it's all lucas stuff.
Look on the left side under "articles" and then choose one of the VE ones.
Awesome info cant wait to go through it all.
Hey I have that Russian conversion done a year ago. Seems it was posted about that time as a link. Odd how things go around.
Just waiting for the inevitable..........
