Heater core questions..
« on: March 27, 2011, 01:50:15 pm »
so, are mk2 a/c and non a/c heater cores and heater boxes the same? or are they different like i figure they are going to be?

i have a 86 Golf with no a/c, it has a bad heater core. can i get away with using a heater core from a car with a/c, or does it have to be specifically for a non a/c car?

92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

plus with no AC it's super easy to do. when there was a recall at VW for those ones, even without rushing i could do it in less than 1 1/2 hours
