I just bought one of the 1987-93 Fox clutch kits from VWOA:
http://www.vwparts.com/parts-outlet-center/?pg=2The part numbers are:
Disc: 026-141-031-2
Pressure plate: 026-141-117-1
This is a 210 clutch kit. I think the 1.6TD Quantums used a 190mm disc, but I'm pretty sure the flywheels are all the same. I'm gonna pull out my flywheel and set the disc and PP to it to make sure it all works.
This is a hell of a deal if you've got a Fox or Quantum 4-cylinder. Both parts are Genuine Sachs and come in VW boxes. For comparison, the stock clutch kits for either runs about $100 if you can find it. Ebay has some, but I'm sure they don't beat this.
You'll still need to get a release bearing (113 141 165 B ) for about $25-35. Still cheap.
Also on that blowout are MK2 "Aero" grills for 1985-1992 Jettas, 1985-1989 GTIs, and 1986-1992 Golfs. Those are 10 bucks too.
I wonder if these would work on any vanagon diesels?
and 2 fox fenders for 20$ ea..

Hmmm. I wonder. I know for certain that the release bearings are the same. Not sure what else.
Just tried it against the Quantum flywheel. Fits no problem. PP and Clutch look exactly the same, but the QTD is 200mm and the Fox is 210. The bad news is, the clutch on my car was brand new (along with PP) and was Genuine Sachs made in Germany. The OEM Fox clutch and PP are Sachs made in Brazil, and you can see the difference in quality and beefiness.
How do you order from VWOA? I want to get a grill and perhaps a bumper if it is the big bumper. But I took my print out to the local dealer and they are lost - is there some way to order direct?

They must be R-tards. All they need to do is enter the part numbers. There are several pages to that website, so just print out the pages with the part numbers you want, and have them order them from the VW HUB. Should be no problem. They may charge you more than the listed price. If they really try to gouge you, tell them to go blow.
The quantum clutch/flywheel is very different from the diesel vanagon one.
Good to know.
Heyyyyy $79 compressors!!!
Hey thanks for pointing this out, I got a new grill for $10. And a big bumper rebar for 30. I had to go to a real german VW dealer Herman Cook where they knew how to order this stuff.

Yeah, but they don't include the pulley or clutch.
