That's what I would've thought but some have said it's not bad, I think it depends on whether it's in a mk1 or mk2.

if you want a light weight flywheel, use one off a gasser, they are lighetr than the gasser unit, and from my experiences, not too shaky, but you do lose some bottom end grunt. (here we go again)
and if we really want to get into bottom end grunt, the 2006 Chevy Duramax 1 ton sitting in my driveway would pull the frame right out from under your dodge

Even a 1.6 NA will have more bottom end grunt than ANY similar size gasser. VW 1.8 gassers actually have enough idle power to let it idle in 1st gear to get out and push when stuck, they quit though as soon as it gets traction. Diesels do it waaaay better though. I know the Japanese cars I've driven can't nearly do that, they die as if you shut the key off.
