WTB: diesel fuel filter bracket/thing & other stuff
« on: March 08, 2011, 05:01:50 am »
mk1 stuff needed:

fuel filter bracket. preferably off of a mk1
5spd linkage bits. cage, and arms etc
AAZ water pipe from pump to core. apparently the rabbit one doesnt fit.
AAZ upper and lower timing cover.

I also need whatever hose I need that goes from the turbo to the intake manifold. The one I have doesnt seem to reach. I did put a different exhaust manifold on than was on the motor.

thanks in advance...

What radiator are you going with ?

stock were either 525mm or 568mm

675 mm mkii non a/c are cheaper and I make the hoses upper and lower and I also make the 3 engine hoses if you want..

I have the MK1 fuel filter bracket, looks almost new.

Do you also need the clear molded tubing with the banjo bolt that goes between the fuel filter housing and the injection pump?

$15 w/o the tube.
$20 with the tube.

Prices include non-priority shipping via U.S. mail assuming you are in MN. Send me a message if interested or if you want pics.

thats the rad I am going with. I dont want an overflow reservoir.

price seems a bit high for the filter bracket. I'll let you know if I dont find something soon.

Thanks for the parts finding help guys :) I take it the timing covers are hard to find new? per the boost hose, I am probably going to go from the turbo into the raintray. I do plan on intercooling at some point so I dont think I can run a stock airbox and stuff quite as easily I presume?

only if you turn the intake or go with a PD130 intake
2.50 to 2.00 silicone coupling

racepipe adapter off the PD130

What turbo ?

I wouldnt run that radiator, why do you think they went to 675mm in the 1991 golf 1.6 td ?
besides, that radiator look's like junk..

oh that line....I wont need the line, but will take it w/out the line.

radiator shown is not my radiator, just an internet find radiator. I'll be getting a new one. I'll make a custom shroud w/ two slim fans.

I've ran that radiator in many applications. From a g60, to an ABA, to a PL, or a 9A, or even with a high compression 16v ABA hybrid with dual DCOE weber carbs. I have had no issues in any conditions.
