well it seems that the Americans and the British both do it, so it could be either.
Doesn't say much for people who are proud of acting that way. No wonder they are hated.
I get what you are saying, and i completely agree with you in relation to the second vid. On the other hand I don't have a problem with the first, there is a lot of traffic and unlike over here they use their horns all the time, so the horn on the Humvee would not stand out. The driver is not being impolite, nor is he causing accidents, he is just telling people to move out of the way, because if they get caught in a traffic jam that will give an insurgent, or a suicide bomber, time to set up. That will put not only themselves at risk but also all of the cars and people around them at risk. Therefor I don't have a problem with what the driver is doing on the first video. The second video is just stupid.
There was a time when the U.S. followed guidelines that they recognized that put them at risk because they felt that honor, freedom and humanity required it. Now that is being lost and the excuse is that they must do this to protect themselves. I can't necessarily refute that - but that concept was one of the things that meant "democracy" was applied differently that the approach of totalitarian governments. I will be the first to admit I have no first hand experience with how things work there, but to me what I saw in the first video showed more of a "conquerer" attitude than a "liberator" approach to dealing with the people there.
