So i made a little video for my local hill www.cypressmountain.com

It's a video contest, where the winner or winners get a free seasons pass for next year.

I bought a gopro here HD, some memory cards, an extra batter, a few mounts, and downloaded a video editing program to learn how to do this quick.

It was due last night, and I finally submitted it after watching the other entries trickle in.

check it out, and keep in mind that I'm a snowboarder, not a video editor, but for my attempt at doing this, it kind of bit me to the point where I want to film everything and buy more and more gear!

let me know what you think

Great job! ;D Good pacing with the editing, nice use of FFwd. Good tune, too! I'm impressed, particularly for the first time using the software.
What's the editing SW called?

I used Power Director 9.

I was given copies to try of Final cut, but i wanted something i can test my hands on with the proper spacing, cutting and pacing it to the song. However now that the deadline for the video is over, i'm actually looking at expanding this hobby further.

I've already bought more ram [max allowable] for my laptop and have been checking out either DSLR with HD video, or proprietary HD camcorders.

If i do get a DSLR, then the girlfriend will use that more as she's the photographer, i'll jsut sick with the video production side of things.

Still trying to wrap my head around what to do next.

Thanks for the kind words! It was challenge, but I'm glad that I lost sleep over it, because the final cut is pretty impressive, even to me.
