Look, if corn and kudzu fall in love and have a baby in a lab under the supervision of scientists working in my employ, WHO AM I TO STOP THAT other than the CEO responsible for stopping it???

the one I got in Florida a few weeks ago yes. I pulled the engine out today and found PS fluid leaking out of a tear in the driver side rack boot.

So long as it's not an automatic...

Or, just convert it to manual and never worry about it again. There's a Rabbit pickup at my local pick and pull with a clean-looking rack. Odometer was broken at 64K, but I don't think there's more than about 100k on the truck. It's too clean. If you want that route, I can pull it and sell it to you for what I pay, plus shipping.

Wow thanks QTD that's very kind of you to offer. I do have a manual rack here and most likely I'll install it, but I have to find the universal shaft and dust boot first, pretty sure the shift linkage bracket is different too. there's a rabbit truck at my friends junkyard nearby with the engine removed, hoping that stuff is still on there. of course it means some heavy trudging thru the frozen white wasteland...uggg. hella cold here too. :(
