« on: February 26, 2011, 10:43:56 am »
I have a whole mechanical head 1.6L NA engine + accessories. Unkown miles (supposed car it came from has 65,xxx KMs on it, 83 Jetta) and was told it was running when pulled.

Lets start at $500 and work from there.

Will get pics up soon.

PM or post.

Ok, clarifications needed... Ugh! Sorry!

It appears to have a hydraulic head.

Block heater on it.

I have an Alternator but it is not on it and IDK where the pulley is. It is in a box.

I do not know the condition of this motor. It was garage kept and covered at the other guys house. I do not have it covered but it is garaged.

Pics:

Sorry for any confusion.

Trade for a nice MK2 dash + some cash.

Also, I have a box of parts to go with:

Also new thread for the "rebuilt" injectors that I can include.

Does it appear to be a hydraulic head on a mechanical block?

I thought I had that combo in my truck but it turns out some of the aftermarket mechanical heads have two humps but the second oil drain is not drilled might want to pull the vc and have a look.

its a mk2 engine, it probably has a hydro head on it..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

It is a hydro head, as the block and head have 2 bumps in the front. The trans that came with it is an AOP code and iirc, that was from a 88-89 Jetta.

My 85 Golf is a mechanical head with 1 bump.  ;)
