Anyone ever bought AutoZone mk2 Alternator ?

I have a spare reman'd alternator - Duralast (AutoZone).
It looks good - but tests bad.

Manager at local store does me pretty right.
But says i have to have an owner history (name or phone number) in order for him to warranty it (lifetime warranty).

I don't have a VW Alternator purchase in my buyer history.

If anyone has bought an mk2 Alternator from them - I'd be indebted if you could hook me up with your phone number so i could get a new working replacement.

Mine is the 90 amp for a/c application.

I would PayPal you some scratch, or share my buyer history/phone number with you.

Recent things have been front brake pads / rotors / passenger caliper / timing belt tensioner. if you need any of those things.
