FS my mk3 GTI TDI with an AHU
« on: February 02, 2011, 02:19:33 pm »
I stop driving the car about 10 months ago last winter due to a bad heater core. Currently it is sitting at my friend's shop for bodywork.  I bought a brand new passenger door from vw dealer and also a solid hatch for it.  I wanted to do a vnt swap on it but never got around to it.  Right now it is a project as the fuel pump leaks some diesel which resulted in the 3 hose flange below to leak as well.  Car still starts and run fines but would need refreshing other than the bodywork needed for rust repair below the door.  Please see the original conversion thread below.  All located in Boston, MA.

Also see other parts that i have available.

Asking $1900 or best offer right now or will sell shell and swap separately.  Don't be scared to make offers as i am trying to clean up.

Modify price.  I have receipt of work done and swap completion and it cost me a lot to do just the conversion.  Anybody interested...
If i finish the bodywork, then i am keeping and perform my vnt swap. So get it now.

The engine and tranny originally had around 215k when swapped in but timing belt was done, etc...Per the original posting, the car will not be able to make the drive now because it has been sitting for a little while.  Right now, the fuel injection pump leaks diesel on the 3 hose below causing them to leak as well.  All that needs attention right now and i started on the bodywork and it's not finish at the moment.  Also the heater core went on the car as well and that's the reason i stopped driving it originally.  Now it's more of a project.

I am currently busy with an mk4 TDI project and i put this car in the back burner for now.  I will eventually get back to it after the winter and put it back together and paint it.
