I was wondering what amp alt my TDi motor has on it from the factory?
It was an A/C model if that helps any.

120amp must be an upgraded unit, the highest i've ever seen on a MK3 motor was a 90AMP Unless its a VR

weird. When ordering a replacement online I can order either 90 or 120 amp..
How do I tell by looking at what I have to determine 90 or 120?

The 120 has a big "120" on the rear black plastic housing, the 90 has a big "90"

The AHU TDI used a 120 amp because of the glow plugs in the cooland flange for the heater.

An ALH may only have a 90 amp if it's automatic, because it doesn't have the extra coolant glow plugs
