That really looks great GB !
Where did you find such a nice dash ? lol
The whole interior is dynamite !

The scrabbage/ruffle under the glovebox (in close up photo) wasn't like that when it went into the box. Might just need an altering adjustment there. idunno

So the Rabbit dash support brackets were a strait fit ?
I noticed you stated they didn't need to use the Jetta brackets.
That would be a good thing to know for future refs.

Also for future refs - almost EVERY (maybe ALL) connectors/plug-ins are different from rabbit-vs.-jetta. You'll definitely want the entire fusebox and wiring harness from jetta if you plan this swap.

And ... rabbit cluster won't work in jetta dash either.
Basically, you'll need EVERYTHING from donor car.
Including ductwork etc...

GB got Everything EXCEPT wiring harness from me.
Figured he had other plans for that area.

I have another MK1 Jetta with complete nice (black) dash conversion (a/c). Missing driver side lower dash plastic pocket tho.

Factory diesel - all wiring intact - including engine harness too.
However much someone needs - its all there.
Also the 5spd console too.

Just mentioning in case anyone else has the itch to switch.

Correct, just modified the stock dash bracket's

dash is very quiet, it's clean now with a elbow grease

Thanx again Baron !

Trevor did the cluster for me with a Meister gauge decal and tach, so just the shop had to splice the gas harnedd to the diesel cluster harness

didnt install the a/c condenser, and the center vents work perfect

I did install: new blower fan, heater core, new side vents from MK1Autohaus

Truck is going to stereo shop and install 16V antenna and CD/DVD Blaupunkt Stereo with pop up screen

Iam still waiting on my Odyssey dual horizontial battery mount for under the bed
