i really wish i could find one of those quad rectangle grilles..
i like them even more than the quad rounds..
anyone remember seeing the MK1 AERO front ends?
i saw ONE at Waterland this year..
Them are some cool pics deez, didn't know you'd had so many dubs.
I've never even heard of a quad square until now, actually looks pretty good.
stepping away from the "scene" for a moment, and just wanted to share where diesel dubbin has taken me.
Sorry to see you (and that sweet assed Jetta) going.. But hey we all understand that some things need to be priority one.. We'll be here when you come back, in the mean time best of luck to you!
the quad square is a hella product. mine never had the lenses for the fogs, but I still sold that sucker for 200 and change. rare to see them come up, but you'll find them on the vortex every now and then. I found the gti seven houses down the road when I was looking for a new car big time; and found that on the trip back to my house. funny how things work out. here's a nice old pic for the dual sqaure fans

brett, thanks. My offer still stands to make you come out to oregon though. It's your kinda place.

.
It's your kinda place.
.
Friends of mine took a road trip out that way this past summer (In a Ford Aspire Coupe no less

) and told me the exact same thing.. I guess one of these days I'll have to check it out..
come check it out Brett, its worth it. meet a hell of alot of cool diesel freaks in oregon too..
im amazed at how many west coast users we have on here.
oregon would be a great shake down run for the diesel Oldy.. lmao
if you load up that cannon up and drive it over here, we could have some serious fun.......and I could unload it off of you to make the trip home easier.....

thanks for hooking me up with lots of parts for my current jetta. couldn't have gotten to where it is without ya.
Anyone/thing in particular you are thinking of aiming that cannon at Bobby?

No problem at all hooking you up with parts.. I'm just glad for them to get some use.. It pains me to toss stuff that *might* be useful.. Unfortunatly within the next year I'm going to have to do some major downsizing...
Kevin, I was thinking a fitting first run for the Olds might be the BABE rally
www.baberally.com
But hey, if it lives though that I could always just head west from NOLA... I wish dippy do would find that 6.2 pump so I could see if it actually will run...
Sadly in this neck of the woods there isn't a huge diesel following, other than on big trucks and tractors, and most of that is just keeping everything running.... It is a farming community I suppose.. Sourcing diesel cars isn't real easy around here either.. The closest dealers without driving an hour or more are Chevy and Dodge dealers, and then what few that were brought here rusted away long ago..
At least I got my niece hooked on MB diesels.. She was the little blond chick blowing smoke clouds in the high school parking lot..

its not what yer thinkin

. I wanna point it at california......

. I actually saw a tank today for sale cheap, but it looked too small. what hell kinda tank did you use?
Cali is an excellent choice for a target!!
I used a helium tank.. OD - 9 1/4" ID 8 3/4" , the diameter of a bowling ball is just a touch under 8 1/2".. An oxygen tank would make for a tighter fit as they are about 1/4" smaller, but the tank I have was free and has worked just fine without any sort of wadding.. I kinda feel slightly safer with the ball fitting a tad loose..
I wish I would have left the barrel a tad longer, but for the sake of handling I cut the tank in half (gives me the option of building a second one

) As it is, it's short enough I can reach the whole way down into it which has come in handy since I started pre measuring my charges and loading them in little paper towel pouches with the fuse sticking out.. I seem to be getting better results that way versus just dumping the powder in it..
theres 6.2s and 6.5s littering the west coast..
