I have an84 Jetta turbo diesel with roughly 148k on it. It was running great then the im bearings started flaking so I parked it. When I came back to start it a month later the ip started leaking from one of the seals. I bought the bosch reseal kit as well as a new set of im bearings and a high flow oil pump from one of ybr vendors on this site. I just don't have the time to mess with it anymore.
It has been sitting for about a year and could use new tiress.
Id like to get 600 obo
The car is located in Deltona fl.

This makes me sad. I love the 84 body style, and I would totally go down there and get it myself, if I had a way to trailer it and bring it home.

Congrats to its new owner

Watch yourself around DC, Scott. Pm me and I'll give ya a few ways around it.
NYC as well. Have a safe trip there and back. And congrats on the new addition.

Yee Haaa, cowboy!! lol
Just watch what time you hit the DC area. 3 days before Thanksgiving 2009, it took me 5 hours to get from Cheverly, MD (northeast border of DC) to Fredericksburg, VA. 295 from Baltimore to DC brings you right to the Wilson Bridge, and keeps you off much of the Beltway.
If you are not aware, keep 301 as an option as well. You bypass all that DC traffic.
Even if ya knew, the GPS ain't always correct..

Again, have a safe trip.

Hey man,
Just to let you know,
I am also in the immediate (1 hr away) area to where you are going,
(I live in Orlando, Fl)
so if you get in a jam, or need a hand,
Im always down to assist a fellow GTD member!
You may well be coming through Orlando, anyways!

I didn't move away from vws completely. I picked up an 01 tdi. I spend to much time keeping my truck on the road and have to many other projects that have prevented me from getting to this one.
In my opinion , when I was running re 84 around it was quicker and had more character than my 01 has. It also sounded better lol.
