Try this place out. They seem to be expensive for the complete engine. Maybe a longblock will be a better alternative? The also have used engines also.

Yes, those are quite expensive and stay away from GEX. I've heard absolutely terrible things about them.
Basically, the story I got from a VW shop I used to work for is the engines are of less than stellar quality and then when they fail in a few months they do not cover return shipping. So, you've already sent in your core, then the new engine fails. You pay to ship it back to them. They tell you nothing is wrong and you can have it back if you pay return shipping. Of course, no one ever wants it back at that point so GEX ends up with a bunch of your money AND your old engine.

I beleive so, and they're actually fairly cheap compared to their other engines.
