First off here she is, first test run....

Now the problem, i am leaking coolant from the passenger side of the car towards the rear of the motor, all of the gauges worked well oil psi, temp, and volts well, i didnt check the boost gauge as i am getting use to the oldskool brakes and such... Any ideas as to the leak???

There isn't much on the rear of the engine. Headgasket and freeze plugs. Maybe it is running down from the water pump area and running off the back of the engine. Possibly the flange right under the injection pump? Great job getting it going, it is quite a butt puckering experience the first turn of the key. It was for me anyway.

Yes it was from the inital start to the first test run, ill check on the water pump, and i do have to recheck my torque on the headbolts, and freeze plugs, its going to make the trip to my friends garage where he is gonna repair the seem rust problem and ill be able to put it up the lift and get a better view then...
Also i have no brake lights, i have running lights no brake lights when i hit the pedal and no backup lights either.. Is there a switch on the brake pedal or something???

yep, there is a switch above the brake pedal that interrupts the circuit and makes em glow. Back up lights could be the trans switch...that is what my problem is. Could be too that some part of the rear wiring is unplugged with both happening.
I would still check the water pump gaskets/o rings for your leak too.

if someone came up with plugs to go over the gaping holes where the bumper went, then they would look good.
it looks un-finished with no bumpers, but its just personal taste. all my VWs have bumpers. and my 84 has close bumpers, they look good with the bumpers left alone.
again, just personal taste.

Yeah, like some kind of housing for a fog light or something even would be cool.

If someone wants to donate some of those small euro bumpers ill rock those lol, the car came with no bumbers lol.... Ill get to finally troubleshoot the hvac system and probably get that little brake sensor for the pedal as well so i have brake lights..
