Where to get this gasket
« on: January 08, 2011, 03:47:56 pm »
Does anyone know where to get a single gasket for the block off plate on the front of the 1.6? It comes in the 20.00 bottom end gasket set, but I can't find it by itself. It is the one that goes on the cover for the intermediate shaft. I would rather not make one.

If I'm not mistaken a small block chevy fuel pump gasket will work.

just lay a piece of thin cardboard or gasket paper over the block off plate and tap around the edge with a hammer, voila! instant gasket..

thats how i make gaskets atleast.. i love the looks i get from people when i tell them i use a hammer to build gaskets.

89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

Fuel pump gasket from an early gasser with a carb..  Early Dodge Omni should work for an application

Here's the Carquest P/N's (I believe they are Victor numbers as well)  certainly someone can cross them..

Carquest P/N  D24076  or  D24097
