Hit and miss luck with them.. But than again that seems to be with anything now days... They are supposed to be Japanese not Chinese.. It's been all good with water pumps, u-joints and CV axles..
Wheel bearings have been hit and miss. Especially GM wheel bearings.. It's not so much the bearing itself failing, it's the stupid wheel speed sensors that take a crap.. And for that matter the manufacturer hasn't made much difference..

I got two years out of a water pump, for the last few months it had a wobbly pulley but held until I swapped it out. The impeller was stamped, I like cast better.

Have also used them for water pumps on rare occasion and they don't seem to have the longevity of even a china waterpump! I didn't even know they made bearings. If the price is close i would do timkens instead.

The Merc CV's I got were Japanese.. I guess it depends what your getting as to where it comes from..
i hope these ones last 280k miles like the originals..
I wouldn't hold my breath. 280K out of a GM wheel bearing is pretty amazing in itself....

thats kinda what i thought. but my dad takes very good care of his truck. but still, its not like you can really care for wheel bearings, besides avoiding pot holes and the like..

Dunking them in mud, slop, etc (Like farmers do) seems to be really killer on them... Sealed or not, that crap seems to make it's way in.. Thinking about it I've replaced very few of these in duallies.. I would imagine (or at least like to think) they they used something a bit better than say what it used in the 2500 and 3500 single wheeled trucks..

my dads truck has a 12,500 gvwr
the other duramax trucks (non dually) have a 9,900 gvwr iirc..
the dually bearings ARE more robust, definitely.
