I am worried about the cold being an issue with bottle pressure(its -5 out right now, and it is usually colder in jan-feb)

Cold temps can will definitely cause low bottle pressure, and it will get worse as the bottle empties. I have my bottle mounted in the cab of my caddy with a blow-down tube just in case the rupture disc does its job. I am currently relying on cabin heat to help warm the bottle. From what I understand bottle pressure should be somewhere around 900 psi for best results. To keep the bottle in that pressure range the bottle heater needs to be controlled by a pressure switch rather than a temp switch. You're right about that stuff being expensive, I'm hoping to run across a cheap bottle heater myself someday soon. The heater you listed should help, but it turns off at 67 degrees F, most likely not hot enough to get to 900 psi on a full bottle and even less effective as bottle volume drops. I know for a fact my bottle (when it was mounted in the bed) as well as my son's bottles ( mounted in the trunk of his mustang) have seen temps well over 100 degrees with no problems yet. I just wish we had pressure gauges on the bottles to monitor pressures at different temps.

I wonder about mounting it in the engine bay to let underhood temps heat it?
Probably a no-no to have the bottle up front though...

Before you spray remember to turn the bottle so the label is straight up and the line faces down so the dip tube will be in the proper position.

yeah, will do, I just put it there to see how it fit.

I am not a real fan of the brackets that came with it though, I might see about making a new set...

I am quickly running out of trunk space with the two batteries, 2.5 gal water/meth res, and the nitrous bottle.

there is only just enough room for my tools in there now.
oh well, it will be worth it in the end.

actually, on the trunk space thing, does the have to be lying on its side?
or could it be put upright? would save me lots of space...

I made my own brackets in the pic above, cost about 5 bucks and 30 minutes with the chop saw and wire feed.

I have mine standing up between my seats in the caddy. Can't see any reason why it would'nt work in a trunk.

cool, I will make a bracket that holds it upright then, cause it will fit vertically right by the water reservoir.

this is actually going to go on the back burner until after the supercharger is installed.

Dammit there is a guy selling another bottle    for $50... I don't really need another one, but that is hard to pass up.
A two bottle rig would help with pressure issues though.

The guy is on crack though, he thinks a ten pound bottle is full of $100 of nitrous.

to fill or to buy?

nitrous should cost between $2.50 and $5 per pound, if it cost $100 to fill a ten pounder then it wold cost $10 a pound, huge ripoff man.

I buy the 56 lb. bottles from a welding supply shop and fill my own. The last one I got was $160.00 so it works out to $2.85 a lb here in central Wa. I only know of 1 shop that fills bottles locally and they charge $5.00 a lb.

$50.00 is a decent price for a good used bottle, but a big NO on $100.00 for the 10 lbs of nitrous in it.

Do you have a pumping station?
I think I will grab the second tank even it I just use it as a  spare. I may head some places that don't have refill stations and having some extra would not be share thing.

I will head over to the shop here locally that does refills and see what they charge tomorrow.

My son bit the bullet and bought a refill station a couple of years ago off EBay, but when it was all ready to fill bottles he had over $750.00 in it. Myself I would not spend that kind of money and just freeze the small bottles and gravity flow from the mother bottle.
