-17C cold start this morning
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:09:17 am »
Well I'm surprised it started ;D
It sat for 2 days without plugging it in. Injector and pump were rebuilt by Performance diesel 2 years ago. 15-40 oil, 4 year old battery.

Sorry for the quality but I just grabbed my phone to see if I can record it. I had to put it down to pull the cold start lever cause I just couldn't pull it before cranking the engine.

thats the worst thing you can do to a battery.. let it sit.
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

I had it up in Sudbury, ON last January :P It started in -27c (!). That was not so easy tho :o I'm thinking of going 0-40 Synthetic but I have a very small leak from a crank seal and I'm afraid it won't be so slight with synthetic......
