Battery relocation ( Caddy ) Under The Bed
« on: December 08, 2010, 03:27:39 pm »
After looking for more room in the engine compart area I decided to do it another way !

Odyssey Battery for under the bed
Model ER40 : 9.8 Long x 3.8 Wide x 8.1 tall
Weight 27.5
1100  cca

I will be using there HDER40 battery mount and send it to a shop that will make a horizontial side load battery tray.

I will place it forward of the tire carrier, and plan on welding on a 316 s/s 12 X 12 X 3/16 thick plate for the support the battery tray.
found this shop :

http://www.speedpartz.com/foz_batterybox.htm
I will use a 2/0 cable from the battery to the remote terminal ( BMW E30 Model )

I'm intrigued! What happened to the behind the seat idea? I think I'm still planning to go behind the passenger side seat with my redtop, if it will fit in a box?
