Prep for storage question
« on: December 07, 2010, 09:47:05 pm »
Hi guys,
I have 2 vehicles, which will be parked for the winter-outdoors.
I've done this before, but still haven't come up with a good way to preserve the brake surfaces, without damaging the pads or shoes.
Has anyone found a good way to prevent the rotors and drums from becoming rusty, while the vechicle is parked for several months?
I know many of you guys live up north..and things don't rust while frozen  ;D
Here on Long Island, there are frequent days of freeze and thaw..not to mention the ocean nearby.
thanks !  Mike

Fluid Film would be my preference - in the relative protection afforded by the wheels I think it would last the winter.
