not really a question or anything i just wanted to discuss these, i went and test drove a samurai, it was a decent looking 88 with a hard top 1.3 carb and 5 spd with 4wd. had holes in the floors, not bad looking just some flat metal would fix them, and it drove nice till i got to about 50-60mph then the front end shook and something was whirring, i dunno what it was but thats the main reason i didn't buy it, plus i thought they wanted too much for a rusty floored car that had issues and some of the interior missing. 3000 and they took it down to 2700 but it was still over 3k out the door with tax and title. i loved how it drove, had absolutely no power tho, a na diesel would definitely be an upgrade, and a turbo probably makes it feel scary haha. neat car, but i was just scared the whirring was the trans or transfer case and i didn't wanna pay that much for a car that had the door panels and carpet missing holes in the floors and funk noises plus shaking.

idealy i'd like a 4 door 5 speed like you have, but the samurais are really neat i like how they look and how uncommon they are. i just checked the 1.3 carb makes 64hp and 74 ft lbs, so i can see why my rabbit feels way faster. well it definitely is way faster my rabbit will do almost 90 this thing can do almost 50 haha

The wobble you are talking about is just loose front end parts, usually a drag link/ steering box combo.
I've owned a few zuks over the years and they are horribly underpowered..
You can do a few things to help but it will never be fast at all.
Toss in a Diesel and your set.

i never rode in it, but the guys at Hawks Strictly Suzuki were building a 1.6 with a BIG cam, a couple 40mm webers hanging off the side, ass loads of port work, and a nice header and dropping it in a fairly stock sammi.. i bet that thing would atleast get out of its own way..

i think those ones are quite different. i know they have a different engine/ trans combo than the sammi/trackers
so the sammi/tracker bell adapter wont work with them. might have one for that conversion tho? im not sure..

the 1.6 16v is a common swap for the samurai and standard in a tracker

no, they are most definitely not stock in our tracker.. its got a 1.6 8v TBI engine.. looks just like a 1.3 sammi engine.
its a metallic blue, 1994, 2dr hard top, without a removable top.
