That rad is going to get awfully hot before the fan comes on, unless you can find a switch that closes at a lower temp. There's a reason they're usually mounted mid-rad.

We've a fair number of options when it comes to the temp at which the switch opens and closes, 70/75, 77/82 and 87/92 readily available. I'll test them out and report back. I think I'll have significantly greater cooling capacity with the setup I'll be running- 3" thick scirocco sized alloy radiator with twin 10" flex-a-lite fans, we'll see how it works soon hopefully.
