Yeah I read a while back that the autos had a manual shut down but it's strange how few still have it.......I guess auto tranny's weren't that common either though.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

most probably had the pumps taken off and swapped on a rebuilt unit, without the manual stop lever. its not a requirement on an auto, just a very good idea.

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.
