new thread ideas??
« on: November 28, 2010, 10:14:48 am »
i had a thought, maybe we need an Audio thread also, and as someone else was mentioning, a Lounge type of thread..

i know theres alot of us kids on here (Ed and I for sure) who really go for some outrageous stereos..

and then there are the other people who might just wanna know how to put a stereo in there existing vehicle.. to replace factory unit.

Upgrades non engine related??? LOL

You are wanting a specific thread for just X  instead of a general upgrades thread, right? I could go for something like that, possibly.

I also think a lounge would be good.

I kinda like the stereo thread idea..  I guess I'm kinda old now and don;t worry about having a "killer" system, but I still like to crank it up pretty loud...  I'd live to see some ways people have mounted decent  rear speakers in an MK1 Rabbit..  I don't really care to have a box rolling around back there, just would like to have a nice clean factory like install..

A lounge, something like the shennanigans thread could be fun, but may prove troublesome to the mods..  :-X

Let me save everyone some time:

- Marc's very clear that this is a diesel forum... plain and simple.  :)  Plenty of places on the internet to talk about car audio etc.
- there's plenty of evidence that we have a hard time not getting into pissing matches over diesel-related topics...can't imagine what an open forum would be like.  :P  Sony sub-woofers vs MTX, to the death.
- Marc's also has not had time to respond to requests for tweaks to the existing forums, bug fixes etc for a long time now.  Adding new forums is therefore probably way way down on the list.

You're certainly welcome to PM him directly with your suggestions, but I'm gonna close this thread to save us an expectation management issue.   ;)
