WTB: MK2 diesel lower timing belt cover.
« on: November 18, 2010, 08:48:24 pm »
Mine is missing.

I have some part numbers if that'll help. 028 109 127 or 068 109 127 B. I don't know what the difference is but one site I looked at called it 028 and said the OEM number was 068......whatever. Thanks
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Have you checked the dealership, if you have one close by.
Lower timing belt covers are around $35 for the MK1,..
MK2 gassers are $8,.. not sure about the MK2 diesels.

The Mk2 lower covers are still available new for about $30.  Part number is 028 109 127 A.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get the dealer to ship one.

I'll get back to you if I can't get one through the dealer, thanks for  the offer.

What kind of shape are they in? If they don't have any busted parts then I'll go for it, cheaper than the dealer haha.

Going to PM
