Injection Pump Timing Tool
« on: November 10, 2010, 11:42:51 am »
Does anyone know if the injection pump timing gauge tool (specifically the adapter for the dial indicatior) works for any Bosch VE pump, not just ones installed in VWs? It would be really useful to me if it did.

Also, I believe several people here buy these from an ebay seller in Germany. What is the name of his ebay store? Searching here, I only find dead links.

The tool will fit many other VE pumps (but not all, TDI for example) but it is useless without a spec to set the timing to.

Thanks. :)
The timing specs for a given engine shouldn't be too much of a problem as they have the internet on computers now.

A lot of manufactures rely only on locking pins though, so there are no actual specs.
