silver car was in stock front drive, mine was in the Cmod (unlimited) class. It was a total blast, even though I only got one run in on my own car the first race, and missed one run in the second (having sheared the other brake rotor which i didn't get around to nipping in the bud in advance).
The silver car has stock suspension and hardly anything going on under the hood. Nonetheless, driving it was as much fun as I've ever had on the track. It's very rare that i'm actually able to convince someone to go out and try autocross. They usually seem to be concerned that their car isn't good enough or fast enough, or that they're worried about looking bad not winning.
The simple fact is, it's all for fun, and that silver car is all the proof in the world that you don't need to get fancy with your vehicle to succeed.
Anyway, give it a shot, folks. You won't regret it.

green car has tokico illuminas, generic coilovers--350 front 650 rear, 16v scirocco rear swaybar, front upper and lower strut braces, 3 point rear brace, spherical bearings for control arms, ball joint extenders, flipped tie rods etcetcetc... wanted to put a 2:1 steering quickener in, but never got to it.

Wow thanks, I guess it's not stock then haha.
I made a lower brace for the front of mine, it's only 2 point and I don't know if I even noticed any difference. I keep wanting to make an upper brace too.
A few years ago I bought a cabriolet rear swaybar, it and shipping was like 95 bucks, now I wish I'd spent a little more and got an aftermarket bar.
So have you ever ran a front bar? I've heard it doesn't help with handling on FWD cars since it just picks the inner tire up.....

silver car is manual, green car is power. I'll never go back to manual for autocrossing!
