Just bought a 92 td ecodiesel ???I have Questions????

Do you guys know anything about them.......This is my first diesel and I love it........but I dont know a lot about them.....a few questions i have....
What do they sound like with exhaust?  
What kind of Turbo/intercooler upgrades can you get...if any???
What should I keep close tabs on.....
Are these rare??  I was told they were...
It is slower than an 8v gas.....should it be?

Yes - only 47 made, IIRC.

First, you're gonna want to upgrade your IP so that you've got the TD-spec IP. That way, you can actually get some performance out of it. Then, read through this section.

What should I keep close tabs on.....

Keep the thing from overheating, for starters. Then, just keep on top of all of the maintenance stuff, *ESPECIALLY* the timing belt. Every 60,000 miles is the recommended interval for changing it. If it breaks, kiss your valves, possibly your head, and even possibly your pistons goodbye.
