Rabbit ::)
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Not a veedub but still a turbo diesel;

1.9 xud9te (Peugeot 306 dturbo)
11mm pump
advance piston grind
grind to the boost pin
governor mod
head skimmed (suspected headgasket fail)
new payen gasket
new valve stem oil seals
head cleaned
valves ground in
clearances set to standard
gt15 turbo - wastegate shut 24/7 (subaru td04 turbo to go on in future)
front mount intercooler
egr removed and sealed
cat removed from exhaust as well as freer flowing muffler (as you lads would say)

Figures from the dyno;
153.7bhp
286ft/lbs

Very pleased with the result considering the small turbo on it.
Another couple of friends with similar specs made 172bhp and 176bhp due to larger turbos.
