This may be a dumb question or may have been asked already. I searched and couldn't find anything. Can you use a 1.6L gas block with a diesel. If I switched all the parts out of the diesel block into the gas block will it work/hold up. Thanks
yea, diesels make great gassers, you can shoot a whole lot of nitrous to one.. heard of it being done..
but gassers do not make good diesels.. i remember someone on the forum bought a vehicle once, with a "1.8 diesel"
and it actually had a 1.8 diesel... it had a 1.8 16v bottom end with a diesel head bolted on.. it actually ran for like 2 or 300 miles like that. then all the rings broke.. cant imagine the ring lands looked too good either..
point of my story, it can be done, but it wont last..
like andrew stated, the diesel blocks are MUCH MORE robust..
a stock 16v bottom? with gasser rings? that are used to holding back ~160psi?
where abouts you located BlastIt??
eastern coast eh, they may very well be rare in NC
Yeah a buddy of mine has a 1.6NA and cracked the block. I have a 1.6L gas laying around and thought if it worked I could save him some money. I thought I had seen it was not a good idea but just wanted to make sure. Thanks Guys.
it MIGHT work, but thats iffy at best. may work forever, may blow up 15 mins after you start it..

Um no..
It wont last.
I think the OP see's that from the previous posts.
