Lately, i have noticed that there's a fair amount of wind noise in my car while driving. At first, I thought it was the right rear window, which cocks (dude... you said--) a little just before reaching the upstop. Yesterday, while giving the car it's once-yearly-if-it's-lucky bath, an idea came to mind. Upon closer inspection, I found that none of the four doors were fairing tightly against the body. That is to say that the trailing edge of the door stuck out further than the leading edge of the surface behind it. I loosened and repositioned the door latch studs (on the door jambs) so the doors sat flush, which helped. Then I did it again, making the doors' trailing edges actually sit in a little tighter than flush.
Noise totally gone. Cool. It's one of those simple little things that make a huge improvement in fahrvergnugen.
I would imagine that having the doors nice and snug would help out with overal chassis rigidity, for you racers out there. (Jake. hehe)
