Some of you may recognize this car, I picked her up from another member here in May of 2009 in a trade for my '85 Golf diesel. But I miss that diesel bad, especially with currently putting nearly 1000 miles a week on this Jetta.
***Looking to trade for a Mk2 Diesel (NA or TD) with no serious body or rust issues.
But if I were to put an outright sale price on it, I'd be looking for $2100 obo USD.
If I get my asking price, I'll include the Aero frontend and a serpentine belt conversion (alternator, ABA bracket, ABA/VR pulleys, and a new tensioner).
No oil or coolant leaks!
31-33 MPGs Highway (I do a LOT of road trips)
Odo broken when I bought it at 130,xxx so replaced with the current cluster at 280,xxx.
Mileage now reads 303,xxx and I would estimate true mileage <200,000 miles.
I am daily driving this car so the mileage is only going up.

Stock front window cranks (still have ricey looking ones if desired)
Condition when I acquired the car: no door cards, no third brake light, no rear door handles, mix-matched stock-ish leaking exhaust, extremely worn Mk3 steering wheel, no sound system, leaking gas tank, no functioning gas gauge, odo, or coolant temp gauge, no working turn signals, tag or reverse lights (all painted over w/flat black), no HVAC box, bypassed heater core as it wasn't there, ac compressor still in (yet all other components deleted), interior leaking water, no wipers or washers, no washer reservoir or pump, power steering didn't work and leaked fluid, no rear seat, nasty beat stock front jetta seats, no interior trim and missing most seat belt components, aero frontend (still have and can include), no functioning horn, no functioning rear defrost.
Resolution:The PO I bought it from had received the car on a trade, removed a few desired parts and passed it on to me in another trade. I nor he really knew why this car was so stripped as it was but I resolved all of these issues, except for the third brake light, rear defrost, and coolant temp gauge. The gas tank had evidence of multiple patches so it was replaced with a good tank from a donor Mk2 Jetta. The car passed North Carolina inspection in May 2009 and I am confident it would pass any state inspection in its current condition. The aero frontend is in good shape, I just had a single round setup sitting around and like the look a bit more.
Rust:
Roof had some surface rust in two small areas, I sanded it out and primered the areas with intent to have the roof re-sprayed.
Passenger floor board has a rust hole about 1" diameter. No other floor rust.
No strut tower rot.
