Damn thing is leaking from the boost pin inside the LDA and filling up the cavity where the boost control pin is housed. In turn leaking out the vent.
Looks as if I can pull out a plug on the side of the LDA housing and see the little pin.
Is there a seal in there I`m guessing?
How would I go about fixing this leak. Looking for both a quick fix without having to pull the top off and a the proper fix for when the long weekend is over..
Any ideas???
You're in luck... the FAQ points to a thread that covers off on this one nicely.
There isn't really a quick fix... unless you remove the vent and put in a pipe plug or something.
There isn't really a quick fix
True dat... the internal pump pressure can be over 100psi, so if it wants to leak its gonna!
well I guess the LDA is usless untill I fix the damn thing... suppose I`ll have to tur up the fuel screw for the weekend...
will the pipe plug work? i really dont have any time for disassembling the pump now. if it will not tear the diaphragm of the lda I would plug the vent for few weeks and then reseal the whole pump
The cummins kit is the wrong sized shaft so you'll need to get a different driveshaft seal, and I don't know what size shaft the other one is. It looks like they are both missing the o-ring for the shut off lever on the LDA.
