I know i'm showing my age, but in my defense i like lots of different racing- cars trucks bikes etc , but i don't "get" drifting. It's certainly not the fastest way through a corner.

i dont get drifting either. in a rally race, i can see why you drift, there is no other option sometimes.

even tho its drifting, that thing is awesome. i wish i could build an engine like that for my toyota. it would be a wheelin machine if it had that kinda power/torque.. its probably not even necessary to turn them that many rpms is it? they are well into there powerband at like 2 grand arent they?
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

it's figure skating with cars. it should be an Olympic event. I'd watch it.

personally not my favorite style of motorsport, being judged instead of timed is kind of subjective, but the car control, build, etc.... personally, i'd rather watch a merc diesel wagon go around corners sideways than some american v8s turn left.

Engine died, pulling it apart, putting something new in it's place.

Yeah, drifting is so so. But anything with an engine is something I want to watch. Mom does horse stuff, and I don't like horses because of her. So racing, other than horses, is cool in my book :D

I believe it takes more driving skills for Rallying, drifting, road racing, than it does for Nascar. Look what happens when they go to a road course.

If it's got 4 wheels and goes fast I love it lol. Drifting is about skill, control and gracefulnest, its mice you can drift around a corner but can you do it in a nice motiion?
