was recommened to come here from vw vortex.
Had this happen a few times in the last few months. About a week ago it happened 2 times in a mile.
cold start turning the ac on and up to 4 seems to be fine. if the car sits for awhile 2-3 hours starting and cranking the ac will cause the car to stall. when i try to restart it will just crank. i noticed check engine and glow plug lights are off and only the red lights come on when key is turned. i have to wait and keep turning the key on and off until glow plug/check engine lights show up again then it fires up right away (about a minute). also if i drive the car for awhile 5-10 min, then crank the ac its fine and wont stall.
i can drive the car with no problems if the ac is off, no hot start problems until now (car has rocketchip). Until yesterday... the car just died with no ac on at all (first time). I was slowing down for a traffic light. Pulled over waited a few seconds and as soon as the glow plug and check engine lights come back on the car fires right up.
i was told this could be a 109 relay but i replaced it with a brand new one about 3 years ago.
