1.6l N/A Down pipe
« on: August 12, 2010, 12:10:41 am »
I'm looking for a downpipe for my 1.6 n/a. I actually only want the flange that bolts to the manifold so I can  build a custom exhaust for it.

I have a stock MKII DP, but it is flawless. Most on here will have one that has a rotted spot and perfect for your application. If you are looking for a flange to make a DP there are places to buy just that piece. Like: http://weirtech.ca/catalog/index.php?cPath=13_17

they have a bunch of different stuff and might just be what you are after for a good price. Easier to weld too.

I checked em out and they have what I'm looking for. You think the http://weirtech.ca/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=13_28&products_id=181 one will fit my n/a? Says it's for a turbo.

When you say downpipe I think of turbo even though you wrote N/A in your post...

I have an N/A downpipe that would use the C clamps to attach to the manifold as well. Great used condition, no rust or holes, and still has the color of new 20.00 plus shipping. could ship in a day as it is off the car ready to go.

any toilet bowl will work, as long as your manifold is a toilet bowl/c clip manifold. if i were you, i would look for a dasher/fox dual down pipe and manifold. i believe they came on the digi equipped foxes, and dont know what year dashers..

That one will not work on a N/A.   You need the stock toilet bowl.  They are fairly beefy with lots of room to open up the I.D. for your larger exhaust, so even if you can only find a used one with some rust, it will clean up easily.
