smoke plus no rev

Go to start my 92 eco diesel and its smoking and wont rev. Sounds like its missing to.

If you just want to throw some stuff at it I would start with fuel and air filters and any restrictions in those systems.

If there have been any mods done that would be nice to know if this was before or after the problem. Also, when injectors, timing belt, and glow plugs were last done would be helpful in tracking it down.

rebuilt pump(giles rebuilt it)timing belt, timing belt tensioner,head gasket, fuel filter, air filter about 7 thousand miles ago. starts normal but smokes alot like its dumping alot fuel and not burning it.

I don't know.
I would still try the fuel filter as I have had them go in one fill up before, but usually they will make no smoke when bad. Where did you get the injectors and timing belt from? It could be a sticking injector...I am fishing here.

What have you tried or are thinking about?

Pulled out the air filter to check just in case(even know its new) and what do i find?  A mouse packed a nest on top of the air filter,so when i started it the nest was sucked into the turbo and blocked off 98% of the air flow :o :o :o :o :o. Cleaned it out started up and ran fine.
