Does this dipstick really shut off the engine while the impellar was still up there....or am I hearing wrong?

To Dakotakid: The impeller wasn't up there. You are hearing a very bad alternator bearing. Besides, the synthetic oil has to have something to do.

The weird thing about a Giles pump, is that I can only get smoke like that at rest (no boost). When pulling, it shoots a small puff, then the turbo spools up and it goes to a lighter grayish trail.

FAIL.
The more I read this, the more I find it offensive. You don't know me nor my truck. What makes you think the impeller was still up there. You can't even hear the turbo at this speed.
I've driven 2 turbodiesels over 600,000km with no turbo problems whatsoever. What makes you think you can judge me kid ?
